Adam McRae's cranachan

  • 300ml double cream
  • 1 heaped tbsp rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp whisky liqueur (e.g. Drambuie)

Toast the oats (either in a frying pan or under the grill).

Beat in eggs.

Whisk the cream to the soft peak stage.

Fold in the honey, liqueur and toasted oats.

Serve in dessert glasses. (Particularly nice with raspberries.)
